Movie Screening with Sharing by Shen Shi’an
Don’t miss this quirky yet intriguing comedy led by a stellar cast (Jude Law, Naomi Campbell, Mark Wahlberg, Dustin Hoffman and Lily Tomlin), where a guy becomes determined to solve the mystery of the coincidence of encountering a conspicuous stranger three times in the same day. He hires a pair of ‘existential detectives’, who insist on spying on his everyday life to uncover clues, while sharing their mind-blowing views on life and the nature of the universe, some of which seem aligned with Buddhist principles. Prepare yourself for an enlightening yet entertaining time!

About the Speaker: Shen Shi’an was one of the founding members of KMSPKS Monastery’s Dharma Propagation Division in 1997, with experience in leading web, library and event management. Currently, he serves as a Dharma Trainer in the Community Development & Training Department. He is the founder-editor of TheDailyEnlightenment.com, a Buddhist e-newsletter with 26,000 international members, the editor of “Be a Lamp Upon Yourself” and “The Daily Enlightenment (1 & 2)”. He frequently conducts Buddhist discussions for youth, and teaches at the Singapore Buddhist Federation. He also writes for ‘Nanyang Buddhist’, ‘Awaken’ and BuddhistChannel.tv, and has represented Buddhist points of view in IRO, NACLI, NHB, NHG, SAF, SPF and ACM events. He runs Moonpointer.com, which is a blog that promotes sharing of Buddhism via writing. He is also a movie critic, keen to share the Dharma through the silver screen.
