Time to Clock Out of Samsara? (2)

By zyrius on 23 Jun 2009 under Odds & Ends | Your Comment | Tags: complacency, Dukkha, Samsara

The company changed the clocking machine recently. It is now so easy to clock in and out that she even gets a kick out of ‘passing’ the scanning almost instantaneously – in just one go. It might have given her the illusion that it’s now more enjoyable to come to work. It made her wonder if her happiness at work is so simplistically linked to the ease of clocking in, and whether she had, as a result, become more complacent to her other work woes. Surely, all her dissatisfactions at work can’t be summed up by whether the machine is easily ’satisfied’ with her scanning. That said, easier to clock in or not, it is always as good a time as any other to start clocking out of Samsara, even if she doesn’t clock out of her current job for good, for a better vocation.
