A Tit for a Tat (19)
Tit: Hey Tot! What did you eat?
(Tot is four years old, who likes fairy tale, nursery rhyme and cartoon characters.)
Tot: Meat.
Tit: Orh! Are you a big bad wolf who ate three little pigs, Mary’s little lamb, Baa baa black sheep, Mother Goose and Chicken Little?
Tot: (Shocked and sheepishly) No la…
Tit: I might have to cut your tummy open to rescue them!
Tot: Oh no!
Tit: Will I be ‘finding Nemo’ and Little Mermaid in there too?
Tot: No!

I have a Tit Tat too
Tit: Hey, when are you leaving [the organisation]?
Tat: Why? Want to throw me a farewell party?
Tit: No lah, your farewell party would have to be a vegetarian one which would be boring.
(Tit is a big meat-eater/lover)
Tat: Well, even if you throw me a farewell party but which comes with meat and involves killing, I’d rather not have one!
Hah! Gave me an idea for a vegan aT4aT. Coming up soon…
Perhaps your colleague is still stuck in the brown vegetarian era, where every item on the vegetarian menu are brown in colour… eg bee hoon, tau kee, tau gua, and those brown fried stuffs
Why not you throw yourself a scrumptious vegetarian farewell party and show them how not boring vegetarian food can be
Next step is to intro nice vegetarian food to the young.
They are generally intro to meat by the adults & adverts via media for teh fast food. If you recom lets say a well done tofu burger, equally or even tastier than a meaty one, that may impart them ideas that the food as teh way being cooked made it nice rather than Chicken Little is as cute & tasty.
Just as ads exaggerate the tastiness of meat to entice kids, how about play-acting a little to them on the deliciousness of non-meat? But of course, make it really tasty!
