She finds shrink-wrapped books in bookshops
particularly intriguing,
because she is not sure what to think of them,
especially when most other books are not wrapped.

She’s not sure what to think of these wrapped ones.
Are they so good that they need to be wrapped,
so as to deter customers from browsing too much,
or are they so bad that it is hoped
that unsuspecting customers simply buy them without browsing?
