The sudden brightness of the backlight
reminds me of the impending darkness
that will come,
the end of today.
the end of my days.

Reminds me to seek the light,
to seek Enlightenment,
to follow the backlight of the Buddha's teachings,
to follow the way He shone forth,
before I run out of time.

Mangled mess
of my prayer beads
reminds me
of my stray thoughts.

Straighten the beads
to use them.
My mind too.

In the pensive greyish blue
of the notebook,
of Dave brooding,
I brood too,
wondering why I am affected
so easily
by colours,
by a wallpaper,
when I hardly know him,
when I hardly know myself.

Overhead,
naked light,
my artificial full
but hollow moon.

Seemingly
abstract,
disorderly,
yet
everything in place,
purposeful.

to my worldly home
at the end of my day.

Reminds me of
the golden light I wish to see
at the end of my life,
leading to my real home,
Pureland.
