Ja: How rude, he ignored me when I greeted him. In the age of technology, we might hide ourselves behind our computers too much, rendering ‘live’ communication with the human touch secondary. While the people we connect to might number more now (online), our abilities to respond in a face-to-face situations might have become stagnant or stiff. I’m grateful for technology – it certainly makes life easier, but let’s not forget that what makes us human is how we relate to humans in ‘real’ life too. Let us use our Buddha-nature to generate great compassion, to better connect and help one another both online and offline!\u00a0<\/p>\n Side Note: The above conversation with a friend reminds me of the thesis I wrote during my Uni days. \n<\/span>Ja: Nay, we met a few times although he was more chatty online. Well, a simple ‘hi’ would be nice. Makes me wonder should I greet again?\u00a0
\n Ya: Well, the world would be a nicer place if we smile and greet each other. So why stop doing something right and wonderful just because of one case? The world certainly needs more people like you!\u00a0

\nYa: Plus, some people tend to be very open virtually but not so in real life. I guess it’s nothing personal.<\/span><\/p>\n
