Well, a simple &#8216;hi&#8217; would be nice. Makes me wonder should I greet again?\u00a0<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"> Ya: Well, the world would be a nicer place if we smile and greet each other. So why stop doing something right and wonderful just because of one case? The world certainly needs more people like you!\u00a0<br \/>\n<\/span>Ja: Maybe&#8230; I guess it wasn&#8217;t right for me to have expectations too.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Ya: Plus, some people tend to be very open virtually but not so in real life. I guess it&#8217;s nothing personal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In the age of technology, we might hide ourselves behind our computers too much, rendering &#8216;live&#8217; communication with the human touch secondary. While the people we connect to might number more now (online), our abilities to respond in a face-to-face situations might have become stagnant or stiff. I&#8217;m grateful for technology &#8211; it certainly makes life easier, but let&#8217;s not forget that what makes us human is how we relate to humans in &#8216;real&#8217; life too. Let us use our Buddha-nature to generate great compassion, to better connect and help one another both online and offline!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>Side Note: The above conversation with a friend reminds me of the thesis I wrote during my Uni days.
