If a victim has fatally injured by a poisonous arrow, will the victim quickly seek for medical help to save the day or sit back to analyse where, what, how, when did the arrow hit him? Z is right. Life is transient and full of uncertainty. \u4e00\u95e8\u6df1\u5165 is the only remedy to remove the venom from our mind and save ourselves from cyclic existence.<\/p>\n

A:<\/strong>\u00a0When theists say \u4e3b\u8bf4\u4e16\u4eba\u90fd\u6709\u7f6a (‘God’ says humans have sins), Buddhists should counter that \u4f5b\u8bf4\u4e16\u4eba\u4ee5\u4e00\u5207\u4f17\u751f\u90fd\u6709\u4f5b\u6027\u3002\u4e16\u4eba\u4e0d\u662f\u6709\u7f6a\u800c\u662f\u6709\u75c5\uff0c\u88ab\u4e09\u6bd2\u7684\u6bd2\u7bad\u523a\u4f24\uff0c\u5728\u516d\u9053\u8f6e\u56de\u5374\u628a\u5b83\u4e0d\u5f53\u4e00\u56de\u4e8b\uff0c\u771f\u662f\u611a\u75f4\u5728\u4f5c\u795f\u3002\u6709\u4e9b\u7684\u786e\u662f\u4e2d\u6bd2\u592a\u6df1\u4e86\u3002(The Buddha says\u00a0\u00a0all sentient beings have Buddha-nature – the potential to become Buddhas. Z:<\/strong> Indeed, we are already shot. And this poison on the arrow can kick in any time.\u00a0Honestly, from the truly little I know, there is nothing in Gnostic Christianity that seems uniquely valuable, that the Buddha did not teach clearer. And if Jesus did learn Buddhism in India in his ‘lost years’ before and after crucifixion, it means he was not even close to being a Buddha himself in his time, which is why he needed to learn. It also means it’s more straightforward to learn Buddhism from the Buddha’s teachings.<\/p>\n
