While placing it in the back of the van, I laid it face down. My friend remarked that it might be disrespectful &#8211; as the downward direction denotes lowliness. I replied that I placed it that way to protect the picture, as the glass might break or be scratched more easily if exposed.\u00a0We both had good intentions but had different ways of expressing them.\u00a0Moral of this incident? Respectfulness comes from the intention behind an action.
