To my surprise, there were meat dishes served at the buffet dinner, though there were vegetarian selections too. I wonder why the meat was &#8216;needed&#8217;. Surely, it is to satisfy sensual craving for meat only, because there is no religion (present) that advocates the eating of meat as a must.\u00a0Meat-eating does not guarantee salvation, just like vegetarianism alone doesn&#8217;t. Don&#8217;t all religions advocate the quelling of unneeded craving? I observed that the meat dishes were taken up too. Why not vote for the kinder and wiser diet by not picking them up at the buffet and thereafter? Why not make the vegetarian selections a &#8216;sellout&#8217; instead?<\/p>\n<p>(Maybe the meat was to be &#8216;politically correct&#8217; in a secular way, since there were politicians present? But if so, the politicians ought to be expected to respect religious stances to be politically correct on their part!
