DHARMA@CINEMA: <\/strong>School Days with a Pig (Strictly by registration only) Based on a controversial true story that swept across Japan, a rookie primary school teacher suggests his students to raise a pig before eating him, so as to learn \u2018the real connection between life and food.\u2019 The students name their piglet P-chan and together they overcome problems faced when taking care of him. After a year of devotion showered on P-chan, they find themselves debating to decide the fate of P-chan. What should they do and what will they do? Holding an MA in Buddhist Studies, he currently serves as a Dharma Trainer and Project Coordinator in the Community Development & Training Department, focusing on research, writing and teaching on various subjects of Buddhism.<\/p>\n He was the founder of the monastery\u2019s Youth Mission (now named Youth Ministry), a purchaser for its Awareness Place bookshop project, and the Chief Editor of the Web and Library Department, which co-supported Buddhanet.net<\/a>, the world\u2019s most popular Buddhist website. He is the founder and editor of TheDailyEnlightenment.com<\/a>, one of the world\u2019s largest independent Buddhist inspirational e-newsletter with over 26,000 members, the editor of \u2018Be a Lamp Upon Yourself\u2019, \u2018Awaken: Gateway to Buddhism\u2019 and \u2018The Daily Enlightenment (1,2,3)\u2019. He also contributes occasionally to magazines such as \u2018Nanyang Buddhist\u2019, \u2018Awaken\u2019 and \u2018For You (Information)\u2019, and writes Dharma movie reviews for BuddhistChannel.tv<\/a>, the world\u2019s leading international Buddhist news network.<\/p>\n He is used to conducting Dharma discussions for youths at tertiary institutions\u2019 Buddhist societies, and has taught at the Singapore Buddhist Federation\u2019s English Dharma Class. He has represented Buddhist perspectives in NACLI, NHB, NHG, SAF, SPF and ACM events and is a member of the Inter-Religious Organisation, through which he participates in interfaith harmony projects. He also co-runs Moonpointer.com<\/a>, which is a community blog that promotes sharing of Buddhism via writing.<\/p>\n
