E.g. The Buddha lived for all beings for countless lifetimes as a Bodhisattva. E.g. Amitabha Buddha (Amituofo) has infinite life for helping countless beings in Pure Land.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q:<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #800080;\">But we don\u2019t die just once.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>A:<\/strong> We don\u2019t die each time for others either. That\u2019s why Bodhisattvas\u2019 and Buddhas\u2019 love for all beings is special. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">They live and die again and again to help others be free from Samsara, while most of us are reborn out of attachment to Samsara.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I heard of someone<br \/>\nwho is supposed to be God,<br \/>\nwho is supposed to be good,<br \/>\nwho is supposed to have died for me,<br \/>\nwho is supposed to have resurrected once,<br \/>\nwho is supposed to have bled for humankind,<br \/>\nwho is supposed to send all non-believers to eternal hell, forever and  ever.<\/p>\n<p>I heard of another,<br \/>\nwho is supposed to be a Teacher of Humans and Gods (and all other  beings),<br \/>\nwho is supposed to have ultimate compassion and wisdom,<br \/>\nwho is supposed to have lived for immeasurable beings,<br \/>\nwho is supposed to have been reborn innumerable times,<br \/>\nwho is supposed to have bled more than the waters in the oceans for all  (kinds of) beings,<br \/>\nwho is supposed to guide all without discrimination to eternal bliss  (Nirvana), even if it takes forever.<\/p>\n<p>I take refuge in the latter, the Buddha,<br \/>\nwho also taught about countless other Buddhas,<br \/>\nwho manifest as perfect Bodhisattvas,<br \/>\nwho continue in their endeavours to guide all beings to liberation,<br \/>\nwho unconditionally live and die for the welfare of all,<br \/>\nwho inspire with their selfless conduct,<br \/>\nwho taught that we can become Buddhas like them too.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Anonone<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Q: Does one who sacrifices his life for you have the greatest love of all?
