We were a little appalled at first, but he  was professional, and assured us that because he does not know much  about Buddhism or the places we are going to visit, he had arranged for  proper guides at the respective temples to guide us when we reach them.<\/p>\n<p>The guided tours turned out to be much better than we expected, as the  guides (who included monastics and volunteers) were very knowledgeable  in the Dharma. They even made special provisions for us, though our  group of four was small. Half of the time, the guide-driver followed us.  <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">It was heartening to see the guide being open-minded and humbly guided along with us,  as he got to learn more about the Dharma.<\/span> And yes, as he was  professional, he didn&#8217;t risk &#8216;upsetting&#8217; us by proselytising to us, his  customers!
