No one will know you are carrying a $2000 bag if it’s not well-known at all.
\nRa: When you buy a branded bag, you are actually paying for its heavy marketing costs, not necessarily for its actual worth. The organic cotton bag is worthier because it does not ‘cost the earth’ or harm animals.<\/span>
\nLa: How so?
\nRa: Do you know formaldehyde, coal-tar derivatives, chromium, alkalis, solvents and biocides, which harm humans and the environment are used to produce leather products? The leather industry is really a toxic trade. And the animals certainly do not stay in any spa haven before they get skinned alive. <\/span>
\nLa: What! Skinned alive? Do I ditch them, if so, won’t that be a waste?
\nRa: The idea is to cease support for the cruel trade, meaning no more new purchases. As for the leather goods that you already have , just continue to use them till they expire. Then again, it might be good to stop using them too, as you might be a walking advertisement that unwittingly urges others to buy what you are using! Spend your money wisely, such that you will not only have a guilt-free product but an eco-friendly one too.
