I only believe in myself.<br \/>\n<strong>Answer:<\/strong> Yes, it can be done by oneself. In fact, it is the only way it  can be done. It was what the Buddha did &#8211; in what Buddhists see to be a  perfect way. Out of compassion, he shared with us how he did it! No harm  testing the path proposed by him! The Buddha agrees that we must experience the truth ourselves too.
