
Tit: (Sarcastically) Oh… I forgot I’m not supposed to disagree with you!
Tat: (Sarcastically) Oh… really? I’ll have to disagree with that!
Tit: (Seriously) So… I should disagree with you?
Tat: (Seriously) Not always… Only when you should!
One big reason I find the Buddha’s teachings agreeable
is because they allow me to be disagreeable with them!
This is Buddhism’s renowned spirit of free enquiry –
that encourages active questioning, that discourages blind faith.
