Karma Verses

行善不昌,必有余殃,殃尽必昌;
行恶不殃,必有余昌,昌尽必殃。

If doing good does not lead to good fortune,
there must be excess misfortune [due to past evil karma ripening],
at the exhaustion of which there will be good fortune.

If doing evil does not lead to misfortune,
there must be excess good fortune [due to past good karma ripening],
at the exhaustion of which there will be misfortune.

善有善报,恶有恶报;
不是不报,时辰未到。

Good deeds bear good results, evil deeds bear evil results.
It’s not that there are no results, but that the time has yet to come.
