since you have already stated it as orthodox Buddhism, why u still want to attend? peer pressure? if so, what makes you think you can stand firm between right and wrong?? what defines right and wrong?? what defines pure against orthodox buddhism?
i would advice you to learn more about buddhism.. therefore even if one day you attend ANY religious meeting or events, you can clearly differentiate and, the best of all, even lead orthodox back to the right track.
