Gee: Some might remember a toddler and his cruel murderers. Not less than 18 witnesses felt something was wrong but none did anything much. Was it simply his inevitable negative karma at play?
Ess: While it is the karma of one to be victimised, the victim might also have the karma to be helped in time. One will not know if this is so till one tries one’s best to help. When one intentionally ignores one’s own ability to help, it is the creation of negative karma (via apathy) to some extent too. Bystanders might share some collective negative karma.
