Paradox of Love

Because cat-lovers love stray cats,
they are increasingly neutered by them,
so as to save them from being culled.
Because cat-lovers love stray cats,
they are less and less of them.

Excess love drives the beloved to (near-)extinction?
It is not always a bad thing though,
as long as there is no killing or stealing,
as long as it is done with good intention.
The Dharma is for making extinct our Three Poisons, to exit rebirth.

Because many love music so much,
they steal so much music,
that there is no more music to steal,
and there is less new music as they are simply stolen.
Because many love music so much, there is less of it.
