Break The Fourth Precept For Sales?

Question: I find it hard not to lie in my line of work, which is sales.
Answer: There’s no need to lie about your products and services.
Question: How so?
Answer: You can just promote based on their advantages, without lying when asked about any disadvantages.
Question: You see… there is a market competitor and what they offer is more advantageous in every way.
Answer: So?
Question: So, when potential customers ask what advantages our side offer in comparison, I have to lie!
Answer: If this is the case frequently, maybe it’s time to change your job! It might not be easy but it will be worth it? It’s good that you are feeling uneasy about lying! It’s good that you have not become accustomed to lying!
