A: When you lose something in, you gain something else. There’s always balance in life.
S: Actually, it’s not always the case that something else is always gained when something is lost. For example, losing confidence in the Dharma doesn’t mean one gains something equivalent or more wonderful. When we lose anything, we need to be mindful to do our best to learn from the situation. Only when are we able to see it as a Dharma lesson and gain something spiritually fruitful in return.
