God’s Impossible Burden of Proof

The Self-Defeating God
(How God Proves He Does Not Exist By Not Proving He Does Exist)

Reasoning:

It is the primary existential responsibility of an almighty, good and wise creator,
if ‘he’ exists, to prove that ‘he’ exists to all ‘his’ creations beyond any doubt,
as ‘he’ is supposed to have all the might, goodness and wisdom needed to do so.

Observation:

Since ‘he’ cannot, does not and/or do not know how
to instantly convince ‘his’ creations that ‘he’ exists,
‘he’ is surely not an almighty, good and wise creator.

Hypothesis:

If ‘he’ exists, with valid reasons for being unable to convince all that ‘he’ exists,
it is still ‘his’ responsibility to readily convince all that ‘he’ has such valid reasons.
As he does not do so, ‘he’ is surely not an almighty, good and wise creator.

Conclusion:

As ‘he’ is not an almighty, good and wise creator,
there is no almighty, good and wise creator,
while ‘he’ must be a delusion created by ‘his’ self-appointed creations.

Note:

In the Buddhist perspective, though there is no one almighty, good and wise creator, there are gods with varying might, goodness and wisdom, some of whom thought they are creators. Note that though Buddhas are perfect in goodness and compassion, they are not creators, or they would not have created a flawless universe without suffering. They are also not almighty, or they would have removed suffering from the universe instantly. What is ‘almighty’ in Buddhism is the Dharma, the teachings realised and shared by the Buddhas, that lead to the end of all suffering, to the attainment of True Happiness when practised personally.

The above is inspired by ‘Russell’s Teapot’:

‘Many orthodox people speak as though it were the business of sceptics to disprove received dogmas rather than of dogmatists to prove them. This is, of course, a mistake. If I were to suggest that between the Earth and Mars there is a china teapot revolving about the sun in an elliptical orbit, nobody would be able to disprove my assertion provided I were careful to add that the teapot is too small to be revealed even by our most powerful telescopes.

But if I were to go on to say that, since my assertion cannot be disproved, it is intolerable presumption on the part of human reason to doubt it, I should rightly be thought to be talking nonsense. If, however, the existence of such a teapot were affirmed in ancient books, taught as the sacred truth every Sunday, and instilled into the minds of children at school, hesitation to believe in its existence would become a mark of eccentricity and entitle the doubter to the attentions of the psychiatrist in an enlightened age or of the Inquisitor in an earlier time.’

– Bertrand Russell (Is There a God?)

God Works in Mysterious Ways?

An ad-hoc hypothesis thrown up by _____ when confronted with intractable contradiction in their absurd belief system. It is nothing more than a veiled confession of ignorance from someone who will say anything rather than question or confront their beliefs. When arguing with a believer, hearing this usually means you’ve won the debate.

“How can an all-loving God condemn so many people to eternal torment in hell?”
“Simple, God gave us a choice to either accept him or reject him.”
“But if God cares so much about us, then why does he need to coerce our devotion with the threat of torture? So why doesn’t God reveal himself and warn us about it? Why doesn’t he set the non-believers straight? Is our having faith so important to him that he’s willing to let millions of people be condemned?”
“Uh…God works in mysterious ways!”

Delusional rationalisation works in amazing ways!
Not that ‘he’ exists, but if ‘he’ does,
don’t tell me that God works in mysterious ways
because it is his onus to demystify his own ways,
in order to prove that ‘he’ really exists.

‘Also, if there is a god, why did he make me an atheist?
That was his first mistake. Well, the talking snake was his first mistake.’

– Ricky Gervais

  1. Why there is no creator god and god maybe atheist?
Theist: There is a creator god
Buddhist: There is no creator god but gods who all think they are the sole creator
Theist: Mine is the real god and the rest are not. Why can’t you try to see it from a creationist pt of view?
Buddhist: Ok. Here goes. If there is a creator god then there must be a creator of god.
Theist: There is no creator of god. God is perfect and he cannot be created.
Buddhist: There is a creator of god.
Theist: There is no creator of god.
Buddhist: Supposed we ask god personally if there is a creator of god and he says “no”….what does that make him? An atheist?

  2. If a perfect god doesn’t believe he can be created becos he is too perfect to be created. So do I for the reason that I am so imperfect that I can’t possibly be created by a perfect god. In conclusion. There is no creator god. Gods who think they are creators……yes.

I am not a god but I can create and yes…happiness and suffering to other sentient beings and even to myself. In the same way, all beings are heirs to their own karmas they self created for themselves which impacts the fates and destinies of society, country, our world, the universe and beyond.
