Just because another
stops arguing with you,
it does not mean you have won.
It might mean there is no reasoning with you.
Just because you
keep arguing with another,
it does not mean you are winning.
It might mean there is no reasoning with you.
Just because another
keeps arguing with you,
it does not mean you are losing.
It might mean there is no reasoning with another.
Just because you
stop arguing with another,
it does not mean you have lost.
It might mean there is no reasoning with another.
‘People, other than the wise, do not realise,
“We in this world must all die,”
[and, not realising it, continue their quarrels].
The wise realise it and thereby their quarrels cease.’– The Buddha (Dhammapada Verse 6)
