Super Short Story (60): Poison

Seeing an empty bottle of poison by the well,
and unsure of whether the first was emptied into the latter,
he realised that a whole well of pure water
with a few hidden drops of poison
is more treacherous
than a whole labelled bottle of poison.
It’s how the masses are poisoned –
unknowingly and gradually,
quenching their thirst with the spiked.
