Super Short Story (117): Swimsuit
While looking at various swimsuits,
she realised how culturally and personally arbitrary a swimsuit is.
It is simply something you are comfortable to swim in,
be it a skimpy outfit almost like underwear or nothing,
or a conservative outfit almost like wearing everything,
and there is the in-between.
The original swimsuit is one’s own skin,
while in the womb.
Everything else that comes later
is a fashion statement
to be discreet,
or to be discreet fashionably.
I think maybe it has to do with our mindset. Can you imagine monks going swimming?
