Super Short Story (147): Pickpocket
Just as she did not warn others
when they were pickpocketed,
others did not warn her
when she was pickpocketed.
Maybe they were all afraid of
being recognised and targeted,
but instead of open endorsement of crime,
anyone could had just ‘discreetly’ yelled ‘Pickpocket!’ to warn another.
