Promise: Wandering Thought #35

For what you have no intention of doing at all, why say to another that you will look into it? Doing so is as if to break a promise on and on – till the day you admit you were insincere all along. It is to tell and unapologetically live a lie over a long period of time, if not till you die, if there is simply no follow-up. It is to strain a relationship indefinitely… unless the other party already knows not to take your words seriously and had moved on ages ago.
