Wandering Thought #38: Consultation
No ruler, unless enlightened, can truly survey the needs of the people from an ‘almighty’ tower high and far removed from them. The best ruler descends down to earth to become the people’s best friend; not being a feared or loathed enemy who only imagines and dictates what is ‘best’ for them without sincere consultation and understanding, while selfishly securing one’s high position, that can eventually be toppled by enough people who have suffered enough.
