Job: Wandering Thought #55

Wandering Thought #55: Job

If you are doing your job very well, be it as staff or volunteer, one of these two things might happen. First, you might be appreciated and thus further supported for expanding your efforts. Second, you might be seen as being over-enthusiastic, to the extent of being ‘problematic’ by having greater requirements and hope for more support.

If they fail to understand you despite the best of your explanations, it is time to move on, to strike it out by yourself, lest staying put dampens your passion and limits your attainments of higher goals. Others might not understand your vision, but it is alright – as long as you do, knowing that it is worthy, and that fulfilling it is to be true to yourself and the world.

The greatest geniuses have almost always been mavericks, who are mistaken as freaks at first. But do be open to hearing others’ opinions, lest you are really just a stubborn freak, who is no genius at all.
