Wandering Thought #50: Norm
If we do not understand or have forgotten why a rule or norm was created in the past, and continue to follow it blindly, despite it being a mistake or no longer relevant, we might not be doing the assumed right thing by default, but the exact opposite – on and on, ad infinutum, till we are forced to wake up to our foolishness. But why wait for so long? Why not start questioning the questionable now?
