Wandering Thought #96: Cycle
Is it true that what goes around comes around? Yes, but seldom in the exact way we expect. There tends to be amplification in effect when supportive conditions are met with the causes we have created, or attenuation when destructive conditions are met instead. If the efforts in terms of thoughts, words and deeds we create boomerang back to us with exactly the same energy and manner we exerted, nothing in our lives would change. It would be a pointless personal and collective zero-sum game. We would all remain the way we are, which is not the case. Knowing thus, we have to be mindful then, of the waves we stir in the universe, as the ripples radiated and reflected are less predictable than expected, depending on what they hit along the way – including ourselves, when they return.
