Wandering Thought #90: Pride
There is a world of difference between gladness and proudness (pride). The first has gratitude and the latter has complacence. With gladness, there is humble treasuring of the blessings we have, which perpetuates them. With proudness, there is smug taking of the blessings for granted, which hastens their depletion.
