Wandering Thought #154: Celebration
Before celebrating habitually and wildly, of birthdays and such, may we reflect on whether there is anything truly worth celebrating over… or not. For anniversaries of life should be occasions, more for solemn reflection on how well we have lived life itself, than to merely celebrate that we have come so far in our years. Now that another year has transpired, we have one year less. ‘How have our lives been? Have our lives made significant differences in others’ lives? Where do we go from here?’ Before any celebrations, may we ponder thus. May we only have the worthiest of causes for celebration.
[May all having birthdays on the day you are reading this have a meaningful birthday!]
