Delusion: Wandering Thought #190

Wandering Thought #190: Delusion

To be ignorant of something is to ‘not know’ about it. Being ignorant is thus what we do know of ourselves. To be deluded about something however, is to ‘think we know about it, when what known is known erroneously’. Being deluded is thus what we do not know (or are ignorant) of ourselves. Ignorance thus includes delusion, while delusion is a more severe form of ignorance. Delusion is the ignorance of ignorance, which can lead to more deluded thoughts, words and deeds. This is why we should keep learning, so as to continue realising truths for ridding known ignorance and clarifying unknown delusions.
