Rejoice is ‘re-joys’. Even if there is only one joy, it becomes many joys, again and again, upon recollection and sharing. Even if it is a joy that another has, one can have a share in it too, by being joyous that another is joyous. It is one of the easiest ways to be joyous. It is the opposite of revenge, which is ‘re-venge’, to (a)venge with hatred, again and again, even if merely by imagination. It is one of the easiest ways to be non-joyous!
