Wandering Thought #208: Generalisation

It takes only a single gesture of unconditoned good will from one of the kind of persons we habitually demonise, to realise our generalisations leading to racism, ageism, sexism, speciesism and all other unfair ‘isms’ do not really make sense. At the macro level, if we are ‘ist’ in any of the ‘isms’ above, we should make a point to understand ‘the others’ more, to more clearly see that we are all not that different after all, other than being victims and victimisers with our various ‘isms’. At the micro level, we should further understand the individuals we demonise too, for if we do not make peace with one another, how do we create world peace?
