Grief: Wandering Thought #218

Wandering Thought #218: Grief

Grief lets us realise and express that something is seriously wrong, but it also reminds us that something probably should be done to remedy the situation. Even if not possible, grief offers powerful lessons to learn, so as to better move on, and to prevent similar future situations. But grief prolonged tells us that something is gravely wrong. Grieve if we must, but may we not grieve too much and too long, till it disables us, as if nothing had been learnt at all. This is not ‘good grief’ then. Our grief would have been for nothing other than grieving, only weakening us; not healing or strengthening us.
