Thoughts after reading ‘Seconds’ by Bryan Lee O’malley:
There is a second chance,
but never in the past,
and always in the present
The past can’t be changed
but the future can,
by doing better now
Even if you can return to the past
to undo a mistake,
it doesn’t make everything else perfect.
There would be new mistakes
due to persistent faults unchanged,
while change is always in the now.
A perfect life then,
does not lie in rewriting the past,
but relearning from it now, for the future.
