are open to discussion,
leading to clarification.

Those with secrets to hide
are closed to conversation,
leading to suspicion.

[142] To keep making excuses for doing what is wrong
is to keep making excuses for not doing what is right.

a difficult physical obstacle
is not as crucial or skilled as
being able to eradicate
a difficult spiritual defilement.

The truly bad rationalise their mistakes.[145] If you focus only on fault-finding of others,
you will never find virtues, even in yourself.

[146] Frugality is true nobility through simplicity.
Consumerism is false nobility through extravagance.

[147] You can be firm but not angry.
You can be forgiving but not condoning.

[148] Suppress no anger.
Express no rage.
Transform all resentment to nuture only patience.

[149] If you overly focus on the fashionable,
you lose mindfulness of the timeless.

[150] Create only positive karma,
as your positive karma
is what truly protects you.

Create no negative karma,
as your negative karma
is what truly harms you.
