Stonepeace (61-70)

[61] What arising from
greed, hatred and delusion is evil.
What arising from
generosity, compassion and wisdom is good.

[62] The more useless excuses we make,
the less useful opportunities we take.

[63] Ignorance is to ‘rightly’
not know what one
does not know at all.

Delusion is to wrongly
know what one
does not know well.

[64] Better the Buddhadharma
unrepresented than misrepresented,
as the latter slanders the Buddha
defiles the Dharma, and harms its followers.

[65] The Right Dharma Age is when those
doing the right are obviously right, and praised.
The Dharma Ending Age is when those
doing the right are often wronged, and blamed.

[66] To live mindlessly is to risk,
but die mindlessly is to risk too.
What matters is knowing
what is worth mindful risking for.

[67] True respectability does not
arise from fear or favour,
but from true honourability.

[68] If it makes things worse, why do it?
If it makes no difference, why do it?
If it makes things better, why not do it?

[69] Do something right now,
even if you cannot do it all.
Then do something right again,
and again, till you do it all.

[70] Slow to be praised is one slow to praise.
Quick to be blamed is one quick to blame.
