[161] There is no need to forget unhappy memories,
as to forget them means to forget lessons learnt too.
What needed is to let go of attachment and aversion
linked to these memories; not the memories themselves.

[162] There are six kinds of fools.
The first does not know one is a fool.
The second does not know another is a fool.
The third does not know one and another are fools.

The fourth knows one is a fool.
The fifth knows another as a fool.
The sixth knows one and another are fools.
We are six kinds of fools.

The fastest way to weaken
positive karmic affinity is to ignore.

see the helping of others
to be a privilege.

their ability to position themselves out of criticisms’ way
as themselves being beyond reproach,
for this can be the most reproachable thing to do.

[167] It is a big mistake
to not point out another’s mistakes
to teach the person to be better.
This is lack of compassion for others.

it is an even bigger mistake
to not let another point out your mistakes
to teach you how to be better.
This is lack of wisdom for yourself.

when you expose your weakness.

While you think you are
protecting the Dharma,
you might be destroying the Dharma.

[170] To be critical that
another is critical
is to be critical too.

What matters is
why you are critical –
