Stonepeace (321-330)

[321] True Bodhisattvas might rest to spiritually recharge when needed but they will never give up the path to Buddhahood for the welfare of all beings as if they do, they cease to be Bodhisattvas.

[322] To eat animals is
to eat others’ family members.
To eat animals is
to eat our mother sentient beings.

[323] Most questionable are those
who insist themselves
to be beyond questionability.

[324] Selective morality only
for personal convenience
is also a form of immorality.

[325] The only secrets worth keeping are those
that feed greed, hatred and delusion.
The only secrets worth revealing are those
that grow generosity, compassion and wisdom.


[326] For the thoroughly worldly,
even having the whole world
will never be enough
to feed their worldly wants.

[327] You can always start a new life
by changing your attitude now,
but if you never learnt from your old life,
it will just be another round of rebirth.

[328] If it will not matter much later,
it probably
does not matter much now.

[329] The non-liberated think
true freedom is
‘freedom to want’
more of the non-essentials.

The liberated know
true freedom is
‘freedom from want’
of the non-essentials.

[330] Incomplete animal welfare is
to ‘better’ care for animals
before slaughtering them.

Complete animal welfare is
to totally care for animals
without slaughtering them.
