Stonepeace (441-450)

[441] First, it is wisdom
to watch yourself well,
lest no one watches you,
and you fall prey to your weaknesses,
and harm more along the way.

Next, it is compassion
to watch others well,
lest no one watches them,
and they fall prey to their weaknesses,
and harm more along the way.

[442] Guiltily devious authorities
thrive upon
innocently deluded trust.

[443] As those heavily corrupted by greed
tend to know no bounds,
they cannot be easily satisfied –
even when they already have a lot.

Instead of attaining satisfaction,
they are only feeding dissatisfaction.

[444] To ask for feedback
without intention to pay attention to it,
is to feedback with insincerity,
even if without intention.

[445] If you are always anxious
about what happened
and what is going to happen,
you will always miss
what is happening now – your life.

[446] Never follow blindly, lest you are misled.
Never lead blindly, lest you mislead.

[447] The key to ultimate liberation
is to realise
the ultimate illusion of the trap.

[448] Till deathless liberation is won,
death will always trap and win.

[449] Your point of view is
your frame of mind.

[450] Even the most
elaborate timekeeper
cannot keep this moment
from fleeting away.
