Stonepeace (511-520)

[511] There is grief from losing the precious,
and ironically no grief
from not knowing the precious is lost.

Then again, Buddha-nature,
which is the most precious,
can never be lost; only forgotten.

[512] Not believing blindly
includes
not disbelieving blindly.

Blind belief in the unworthy
is as harmful as
blind disbelief in the worthy.

[513] Be stubborn only in
not being stubborn
over the wrong things.

Be resolute only in
being resolute
over the right things.

[514] There is…
wanting to be someone special,
wanting to find someone special,
wanting to find someone who finds you special, and
wanting to find someone who makes you special.
What do you want?

[515] There should be enough focus
on what has consequences
in this life,

without losing enough focus
on what has consequences
after this life.

[516] The less trusting are less trusted.
The more trusting are more trusted.

[517] Nothing and no one
is good for nothing.

Everything and everyone
can be good for something.

[518] Those with lower tendency to rejoice,
have higher tendency to be jealous.

Those with higher tendency to rejoice,
have lower tendency to be jealous.

[519] Without sincerity and humility
to learn the Dharma,
preconceptions and egoism.
will mar the Dharma.

[520] Much secrecy is usually for
a skilful good cause
or a devious evil reason.
