If you do not have hope for nearing and reaching a transcendental goal, that extends beyond and outlasts this worldly and transient life, you will almost surely have regrets before and when it expires. This life is for outdoing this life then.
This life is for outdoing ourselves for everyone else. This life is for nurturing and expressing ever more compassion and wisdom for ever more beings. If not, what greater purpose can there be? What greater legacy can you leave behind? And what greater goal can there be?
