Is Goat Milk Okay For Humans?

Through a phone discussion with Hay Dairies Pure Goat Milk (Singapore) guide Leon, this was gathered – (1) New goats come from existing mating of goats on the farm that is timed precisely for lactating cycles of 8 months. (2) The goats have a natural lifespan of 12 years, though alternative net sources say it is 15-18 years. The farm’s goats are deemed unproductive between 8 to 12 years. This means they will be killed prematurely. (3) Though the farm does not kill the goats, they are sold to NUH, NUS, NTU and other medical facilities for research after being killed. (4) Unfortunate conclusion: None of the goats get to live out their natural lifespan after a lifetime of exploitation.

As further general information, cows and goats lactate (bear milk) only when having given birth. To ensure they give birth, it is sadly common industry practice nowadays in many farms to subject them to repeated forced impregnation (e.g. rape racks:

Also, male baby cows and such are usually killed when young and in excess for their meat and other ‘by-products’ as they cannot bear milk too. May more be aware of this. May all beings be well and happy.
