The best teacher not only learns and shares the Dharma,
the best teacher also embodies and expresses the Dharma.

Personal enlightenment with compassion
facilitates the collective enlightenment of all.

One’s supernormal powers are only
as super in positive effect
as one is super in compassion and wisdom.

May all beings have free physical lives
for freely furthering their spiritual lives.

As you are shaped by your intentional actions,
you are also what, who, why
and how you eat.

Since Dharma practice ultimately is to benefit all,
antagonising some with ‘Dharma practice’ is unbeneficial.

If the Parinirvana of Buddhas is
the end of re-manifestations to help more beings,
they would not be ones with perfect compassion…

Parinirvana is just the end of physical imperfections;
it is not the end of spiritual perfections.

A spiritual retreat is
to retreat from external distractions,
to retreat towards internal Buddha-nature.

Meaningful symbols,
though powerful,
are never as powerful as that symbolised.

Who you are mindful of (e.g. Amitabha Buddha),
you will eventually be with (e.g. in Pure Land),
and become (i.e. a Buddha) too.
