About Incense Offering

Nice educational cartoon! Offering the first, tallest, biggest or most incense does not mean there will be more blessings created. It can create more environmental and health problems instead. Let us remember the original significance of offering incense, which is to sincerely remind ourselves to spread the sweetness of virtues in all directions, even against the wind, to benefit more beings. The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas do not need incense offerings, but we optionally offer before their images as expression of commitment to practise their teachings as taught.
