If you mistake fleeting happiness
as the only possibility,
you will never attain lasting happiness
despite its possibility.

The legal is not always the moral.
The moral is not always the legal.

合法不一定如法。
如法不一定合法。

To obstruct or distort spread of truth
for selfish gain is
to break the Fourth Precept
of respect for truth.

To avoid complacence,
challenge complacence.

If you keep thinking
you can do better,
you might do better.

If you keep thinking
you have done your best,
you will never do better.

Those who idealise the demonic
and demonise the ideal
become demonic too.

A strength with weakness
is not a true strength.

A weakness with strength
is not a true weakness.

Evils, even if small,
grow if uncurbed.
Good, even if much,
shrivel if unnurtured.

The true danger is
not being physically endangered
but being spiritually challenged.

Unlearn senseless discrimination.
Relearn universal compassion.
