True Story?

Reply to a Dharma class student on the credibility of some circulating Buddhist stories: ‘Even if some stories are true, they might be hard to verify. In such cases, just go for the lessons in the story. E.g. The three little pigs is not a true story but there are still good lessons in the story. Of course, as some lessons are contentious, we have to be careful not to take them in blindly.’
